The Computech After School Education and Safety program (ASES) is a grant-funded program that provides structured tutorial and enrichment programming for middle school-age children In support of creating Career Ready Graduates here at Computech, programs are staffed by qualified after school staff members and teachers and include homework tutorial, academic enrichment, college and career planning, physical education, and other activities.
The Computech After School Program operates on school days only. The program operates on a daily basis to coincide with the regular school calendar. Program start time begins at the end of the school day and ends at 6:00 p.m.
The Computech After School Program is a voluntary program for current students in the seventh and eighth grade. All students may participate, and there is no cost for students to attend.
Program activities are planned to reflect school site and district goals. Program opportunities include but are not limited to:
3:00-3:50 Homework tutorial with support from our computer lab
3:50 Snack
4:30 Choice of outside time/recreation or continuing to work on homework and projects
5:50 Snack
Co-curricular activities throughout the week include: electronics, cooking, drama, forensics, video gaming, video production and sewing. Students have access to the library and the computer lab through all hours of the program. Textbooks and reading books are available as well for study or free reading.
