Good morning Computech community this is Dr. Scherrer with a weekly update to share some of the important events and happenings going on around campus.
As a reminder, this coming Friday, December 15th, will be our final scheduled school day of the fall semester and our final day of school before heading into winter break. Students will be issued their quarter two report cards when they return back to school in January. Parents can, of course, access their child’s progress at any time through the parent portal of ATLAS. Winter break will run from December 16th to January 7th. School will resume on Monday, January 8th. I also want to let parents know that the Computech main office will be closed during winter break.
The annual winter dance will be held this coming Thursday, December 14th from 3-4:20 in the Computech Cafeteria. Dance tickets will be on sale beginning this week during break and lunch. Students will also be permitted to come to school dressed in non-standard dress on Thursday only if they have a dance ticket. Families are encouraged to review the non-standard dress rules on page 4 of their child’s agenda book to make sure that they are within our dress guidelines for non-standard dress.
Finally, we still have late start schedule on Friday, December 15th, and it is our last Jeanius Day of the quarter and semester. We will also celebrate our Foreign Language Tiger of the Month on Friday. If you are available, also note that our holiday band concert will be on the 15th at 6:00pm at the Fresno State Concert Hall. It will be one to remember, and the final of a assortment of awesome Tiger talent.
All right Computech Community, as this is the final message of 2017, I would like to say happy holidays to all our families and a happy new year as well. The next home message will be sent out on the evening of January 7th, the Sunday before the new semester begins.
Thank you, happy holidays and have a great night!
